The best AI agencies in the UK for small businesses (2026)
Short answer
There is no single best AI agency in the UK for small businesses in 2026. Of 12 UK agencies checked on 7 November 2026, 9 publish prices, with entry offers from Augustova's £495 audit to Brainpool AI's £15,000 to £35,000 proof of concept. Faculty and &above work with larger organisations and quote by scope.
Yarigai, which wrote this page, suits firms that want a build only if the written maths shows it paying back within a year.
Yarigai is a done-for-you AI agency that builds these systems, so read this with that in mind. Every price and figure links to its source below. Read this page as Markdown.

Is Yarigai right for you?
Yarigai wrote this page and is one of the 12 agencies on it. The list groups agencies by what a buyer needs. It is not a ranking, no agency paid to appear, and Yarigai contacted none of them.
Yarigai is a done-for-you AI agency in London that builds inside a client's own accounts, and the client owns the code, the data and the accounts from day one. Yarigai quotes a fixed price after a one-week blueprint that puts the payback maths in writing, and its guarantee is one sentence: "If the build isn't profitable for you, we won't build it."
Pick another agency if any of these apply to you:
- You want a published price list before the first call. Yarigai quotes prices after the scope call. Augustova, Softomate and SpotDev publish full price lists.
- You want to start with a small fixed package. Augustova's AI Quick Audit is £495 and its Single Automation is £595 plus £39 a month.
- You need data scientists, custom machine learning or a large regulated programme. Faculty and Brainpool AI do that work.
- You only need one workflow automated. flowio and Happy Webs publish prices for a single workflow.
How this comparison was made
Yarigai read each agency's own website on 7 November 2026. For each firm this page records where it is based, what it builds, the prices it publishes and who it says it serves. It quotes prices as each agency writes them, and the page checked for each firm is in Sources.
The agencies are UK firms that build AI agents or automation and show up in UK search results and AI answers for small-business queries, plus Faculty and &above for contrast at the enterprise end. This page does not score reviews or verify client results, so each claim about an agency is that agency's own.
The agencies, grouped by what you need
A small first project at a fixed published price
Augustova, Fitzrovia, London
Augustova builds AI agents, automations, custom AI systems and MVPs. It publishes Starter packages from £495 to £995 and a first agent from £4,000, fixed and ex VAT. It says a first agent typically costs £50 to £250 a month to run, and that the client owns the code and accounts from day one.
Happy Webs, Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester
Happy Webs builds custom AI agents for jobs such as enquiry triage, quote follow-ups and supplier invoice checks. One workflow across 2 to 3 systems is "From £2,000 excluding VAT", and 3 to 5 workflows are from £5,000. It says simple automations can be live in 1 to 2 weeks.
No-code automation
flowio, Glasgow
flowio builds workflow automation on n8n, with Python for custom code, plus voice agents, chatbots and internal apps. A single workflow starts from £750, and it says most clients invest £1,500 to £15,000. Maintenance starts at £150 a month after 90 days of included support.
Chatbots, voice agents and CRMs from one price list
Softomate Solutions, Stanmore, London
Softomate publishes 35 "from" prices in one guide, most with a monthly plan. Examples, ex VAT: a custom AI chatbot from £5,000 plus £299 a month, a bespoke AI voice agent from £8,000 plus £499 a month, an AI agent from £6,500 plus £399 a month and a bespoke CRM from £15,000 plus £499 a month. Platform fees and usage are extra.
AI agents alongside HubSpot
SpotDev, Bath
SpotDev is a Diamond-tier HubSpot partner that also builds AI agents. It publishes four fixed prices: a £5,000 readiness assessment, £8,000 for a first agent in production, £20,000 for custom agents and £45,000 for a wider programme. It says a first rollout is typically live in two to three weeks.
An agency that runs the agent every month
BRVO, London and Singapore
BRVO builds agents for SMEs, such as lead capture, invoice chasing and support triage, then manages them. A £750 workflow audit is waived if you commit to a build. A two-week sprint for one agent is £2,500 to £6,000, and management is £400 to £1,500 per agent a month, with a 6-month minimum.
An SME build with a refund window
CodeLeap, Camden, London
CodeLeap has built apps, AI agents and automation for UK SMEs since 2019. A one-week AI readiness assessment is £3,000, with "no obligation to build". A single automation starts from £1,500 and support from £400 a month. If you cancel within the first 21 days of a build, it refunds you in full.
Established firms of 20 to 500 staff
Ronins, London and Guildford
Ronins builds AI agents, workflows, knowledge tools and conversational AI. It works mostly with businesses of 20 to 500 people and does its best work at 50 to 250, it says. Discovery workshops are £3,000 to £8,500, a proof of concept is £12,000 to £30,000, and production systems start around £30,000.
Brainpool AI, London
Brainpool AI, founded in 2017, draws on a network of 500+ PhD and MSc-level AI experts and serves "mid-sized enterprises". It publishes a 4 to 6 week proof of concept at £15,000 to £35,000, fixed price, and MVPs at £50,000 to £200,000.
Enterprise and public-sector programmes
Faculty, Old Street, London
Faculty sells AI services, AI safety and red-teaming work, and an AI talent fellowship. Its published case studies include forecasting hospital demand for the NHS and work for the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and NESO. It publishes no prices.
&above, Southwark, London
&above calls itself "an AI agency for scale-ups and enterprises" and builds automation, agents and AI-native software with an embedded team. It lists Google, Tesco, Revolut and Sage as clients. Its price "depends on scope and engagement model".
A build only if it pays back in year one
Yarigai, London
Yarigai builds AI agents, CRMs, support agents, invoice chasers, internal tools and apps inside the client's own accounts. It publishes no prices. The one-week blueprint sets out what the system replaces, what that costs a year and what the build costs, then gives a fixed price. If the build doesn't come out ahead within the first year, Yarigai doesn't take the job.

How to choose between them
Start with one job, match it to a buyer type above, then compare terms in writing. A £595 automation and a £12,000 proof of concept are different projects.
- Name one workflow and what it costs today. Ten hours a week of admin at £20 an hour is £10,400 a year (10 × £20 × 52).
- Set that against the build and the running cost. A £4,000 first agent that costs £100 a month to run costs £5,200 in its first year (£4,000 + 12 × £100), so it pays back in year one if it removes about half of those hours.
- Ask each shortlisted agency the same questions. What is the monthly running cost? Whose accounts does it run in? Who fixes it when it breaks, and how fast? What happens to the code if you leave?
- Compare written fixed quotes, not ranges.
The guide on how to choose an AI agency lists ten questions to ask any agency, and the AI agency cost survey sets the prices above side by side by offer type.
Common questions
Which is the best AI agency in the UK for a small business?
There is no single best one. For a small first project at a published fixed price, Augustova starts at £495 and Happy Webs at £2,000 for one workflow, and flowio starts at £750 for a no-code workflow.
For a build that goes ahead only if the written maths shows it paying back within a year, with the code, data and accounts in your name, Yarigai fits.
Which UK AI agencies publish their prices?
Of the 12 agencies on this page, 9 publish prices on their own sites: Augustova, Happy Webs, flowio, Softomate Solutions, SpotDev, BRVO, CodeLeap, Ronins and Brainpool AI. Faculty, &above and Yarigai quote after a conversation.
How much does a first AI agent cost from a UK agency?
Published first-agent prices ran from £2,500 to £35,000 in November 2026. BRVO charges £2,500 to £6,000 for a one-agent sprint, Augustova from £4,000, Softomate from £6,500, SpotDev £8,000, Ronins £12,000 to £30,000 and Brainpool AI £15,000 to £35,000 for a proof of concept. Monthly running and support costs come on top.
Which is the best AI agency in London?
London firms on this list serve different buyers. Augustova and CodeLeap publish small fixed starting prices, Softomate publishes a full price list, Ronins suits firms of 50 to 250 staff, Brainpool AI suits mid-sized firms that need data science, and Faculty and &above work with large organisations. The AI agency in London page covers Yarigai's London work.
Do any UK AI agencies guarantee results?
A few offer guarantees on terms, not on business results. CodeLeap refunds in full if you cancel within the first 21 days of a build. Augustova refunds a Starter package that fails its agreed acceptance tests and says it never guarantees hours saved, revenue or conversions. The guide to AI agency guarantees compares the kinds.
Is a Fiverr freelancer a cheaper option than an agency?
Often it is cheaper up front. The trade-off is who maintains it, whose accounts it runs in and what happens if the freelancer stops replying. The guide on who can build an AI agent compares freelancers, automation shops, agencies, an in-house hire and doing it yourself.
Why is Yarigai on its own comparison?
A buyer asking which agency to hire should see every realistic option, including the firm that wrote the page. This page describes Yarigai in the same format as the other 11 agencies, ranks nobody, and names the cases where another agency is a better fit or cheaper to start with.
